Clubhouse Pool - an olympic-type swimming pool with lap lanes. Complex includes a separate children's wading pool and play area. Conference Center Pool - a smaller pool for relaxation near the Conference Center Bernard's Beach - a private sandy beach on a secluded cove near the Clubhouse. 6 Tennis Courts Volleyball Court Game Room - video games, pool table, air hockey and more. Basketball Court Horseshoes Fitness Center - compete with weights, stationary bikes, treadmills, Jacuzzi spa and sauna. Boating - Bring your own boat for fishing, skiing or just having fun. Launch and slip access are available to our guests for a nominal charge. Watercraft rental is also available at our Marina. Rent a ski-boat, pontoon, personal water craft, canoe, or kayak. Advance reservations recommended. Click for more information. Run, walk, or bike - the unhurried streets in our community make for great places to run, walk or bike. Many other hiking and biking trails are nearby, including the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Golf
Bernard's Guests have golfing privileges at West Lake Country Club as well as other nearby courses including Blue Hills, Hanging Rock, and Countryside in Roanoke.

Fishing
Whether you're an expert or a novice, you've come to the right place. We can even hook you up with an experienced guide to help you find the right place and the right lure. The lake is stocked with striped bass, largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, muskie, lunge, and catfish.

Cruise
Aboard the Virginia Dare - a Mississippi-style river boat which offers lunch, dinner and sightseeing cruises. Cruises can also be custom designed for groups. http://www.vadarecruises.com

Horse back riding
